Shoes for flat feet

E-mail Print
Shoes for flat feet is so very 20 years ago! Gone are the days of ankle boots and arch supports. We now know that most flat feet are from hyper-pronated feet. This means " ankles that roll in". When ankles roll on, it elongates the medial long arch causing flat feet. This can be corrected. A cast must be taken at sub talar joint neutral. When the patient returns for an orthotics fitting to correct the ankle alignment, there is no margin for error. At The Dubai Podiatry Centre, the Podiatrist will not let you leave u till perfection is achieved. Follow up visits are mandatory to get the ankle and arch back to prefect.
