As some of you may know John Woods will be running the Marathon Des Sables in Morocco In April 2011 to raise money for UNICEF. The MDS is a multi stage self-sufficiency ultra marathon across the Sahara desert covering 243km/151 miles over 7 days. In addition to that, competitors have to carry everything they will need for the duration on their backs (food, clothes, medical kit, sleeping bag, etc). The MDS is widely known as the toughest footrace on earth.
